† חֶאֱלִים n.m.pl. a kind of lotus (Rhamnus (more exactly Zizyphus), Lotus [Linn.], thorny lotus (not sacred Nymphea Lotus; Saad. ضَالُ, cf. AW De:Job 2, Syr.ܥܳܠܠܳܐ, v. Löw:p. 275);—Jb 40:21, 40:22.

I. חבב (√ of foll.; cf. As. ṣumbu (=*ṣubbu), cart; Targum חִיבָּא low, covered wagon).
